”Fixed gear” means you are always pedaling on this bike, and may slow down the bike by applying back pressure on pedals (NOT a coaster brake)
It takes some getting used to, but boy is it fun
But if fixed gear isn’t for you, don’t worry: a freewheel can be installed to allow coasting
This bike is safely outfitted with front and rear rim brakes
